What is it?
The Reconstruction Era was and is the most well known and important era in all of American history. And without it, America wouldn't be the same. This era took place right after the Civil War and was the build up from after the war and the reconstruction of America. America was torn to shreds after the war, they may have won, but the economy and the people in general were completely ruined. But the Reconstruction changed all of that and rebuilt it all.

Fun Fact
Did you know that the Reconstruction was the most vital and important aspect in American history. Without the Reconstruction the U.S. would be a chaotic mess.
How Does the Reconstruction Connect to Today?
The reconstruction even though was extremely important did have its unfairness behind it. Racism, unfair taxes, and many riots. But all of that racism and rioting brings me back to today. With the COVID-19 economic and general reconstruction, and all of the riots and protests, all of the racism and discrimination with the cops. It fits pretty well. The pandemic represents the civil war, the protests and riots represent the riots that happened none stop during the Reconstruction, and racism with cops and African Americans represents the racism with Asians and Blacks, and basically any foreign human being.

What Can You Do?
Believe it or not, people till today still today don't know or don't care about what the Reconstruction is or why it is so important. YOU can help prevent this and spread the word of the Reconstruction and how important it was.
